Konstanty Kulka / Stuttgarter Kammerorchester / Karl Münchinger
Alan Loveday / Academy of St Martin-in-the-Fields / Neville Marriner

I would like to listen ^-^
Karl Munchinger and the Stuttgart orchestra were big names at one time. I heard them in Hong Kong but felt uncomfortable about his exaggerated style. Konstanty Kulka was a prize winner way back (probably the 60's) and I have an old Polish LP of him playing the Mendelssohn and Glazunov concerti made around that time. The playing was clean and refreshing. Years later I heard him play a Wieniawski concerto at Tsuen Wan when the Warsaw Philharmonic came to Hong Kong in the 80's. Regrettably he had gone downhill, though the orchestra at that time was a great one. Casimir Kord conducted them in Brahms No.4 and it was much better than Andre Previn and the Vienna Philharmonic who played the same symphony in Hong Kong around the same time.
XD
